As a Technical Animator, you\’ll work on the studio’s upcoming action-adventure project and their flagship title, which has enjoyed sustained success and a growing global fan base. This role is ideal for a problem solver with a creative technical mindset. You will join the studio’s Technical Animation team, working directly with the Engineering team and supporting the Art, AI, and Game teams to build animation systems for runtime. You will use Unreal Engine to elevate animation standards across various stylized characters and participate in R&D into new animation technologies. ***Please note, this is a full-time, 18-month contract position.*** Collaborate with Designers and Engineers to implement gameplay animation features. Support Engineers and development teams in troubleshooting animation graphs and artwork issues. Monitor and improve performance issues related to animation. Create tools to enhance workflows and asset quality. Skills and experience required… Proficiency in creating Animation Blueprints in Unreal using Blendspaces, State Machines, and Control Rig. Background in Technical Animation for games. Experience with runtime animation setup in-engine, including locomotion and actions for characters and creatures. Expertise in Unreal Engine 5 and animation techniques. Experience developing location and character control systems. Completion of a full game development cycle.
