Job Summary
The Air Concierge Manager helps to lead and coordinate the Air Concierge team, day-to-day processes, and activities related to sourcing, pricing, and front-end activities related to RCYC Air Concierge Programs.
Essential Functions
- Direct and supervise the Air Concierge team, ensuring the timely and effective execution of booking activities.
- Supervise and coordinate sourcing, pricing set-up/maintenance on Reservation systems, as well as front-end activities related to the management of requests coming from the sales team.
- Provide guidance and support to the front-end team to ensure service levels are in line with the performance targets.
- Support the identification of areas of improvement/criticalities in front-end processes in order to ensure the highest service level.
- Support the negotiation and sourcing activities with Airlines (while maintaining new and existing Airline contracts).
- Ensure the accurate set-up and maintenance of air products and pricing on reservation systems.
- Ensure the timely and accurate implementation of business initiatives, including air programs.
- Monitor air daily reports to ensure quality and accuracy in the execution of new and changed bookings, taking action where appropriate in all systems.
- Communicate pertinent travel information to ground operators, hotel, and shipboard personnel as required daily.
- Take appropriate intermediate steps when notified of problems to resolve issues for guests experiencing travel emergencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competency
Education: A BSc/BA in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality, Business Administration, Management, or similar is a plus.
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of proven experience in the Airline/Travel industry and a general understanding of airline policies.
- ARC Specialist Certification.
- Solid knowledge of airline revenue management and pricing strategy.
- Excellent knowledge of airline booking processes and systems (e.g., Amadeus).
- Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Organizational and leadership skills (experience in global team coordination is valued).
