Hotel Co 51 is seeking a results-oriented Group Sales Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our reservations department, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of Group Sales Executives while also contributing to the overall sales strategy.

This role combines leadership and individual sales responsibilities, requiring a strategic mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for driving revenue.

Your Role

  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of Group Sales Executives, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Sales Performance: Drive revenue growth by maximizing group bookings across all segments and hotel brands.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient and effective sales processes are in place, including lead management, proposal creation, and contract negotiation.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of the group sales strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the sales team; conduct performance reviews and set clear expectations; foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Sales Performance: Set and achieve sales targets for the team; analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities; develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the group sales team; ensure adherence to sales processes and procedures; manage administrative tasks, including reporting and data analysis.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients; identify and pursue new business opportunities; provide exceptional customer service; manage incoming group inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service and exceeding expectations; negotiate rates with clients and convert group sales.

Skills And Experience

  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM systems (e.g., Opera, Salesforce).
