If you already have some experience working as a qualified radiographer, there is an opportunity to advance through the department’s Band 5/6 progression pathway. Perform high standards of imaging within plain film, theatres, and mobile examinations, with rotation into CT, whilst maintaining exceptional patient care. Work as part of our team and independently within the 24-hour imaging service. Manage your own workload, keeping accurate records. Support and supervise students and assistant practitioners. Use your initiative in problem solving and decision-making regarding workflow and IR(ME)R regulations. Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team and liaise with other departments within the trust. Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and our clinical governance framework. Drive continuous improvement and maintain an up-to-date CPD folder. Work in a challenging trauma, orthopaedic, and neuro environment, with opportunities to develop skills in general imaging. If you wish to specialise, we offer a range of modalities including DR, CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, lithotripsy, DEXA, interventional angiography, and all aspects of general and fluoroscopic radiography. We also have an O-arm used in complex spinal surgery. If you enjoy trauma imaging, you will be involved in imaging within the new Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital, due to be completed in May 2023. A dedicated trauma radiology department is in place, and CPD is actively encouraged and supported at Salford. Our SOR learning representative organizes a wide range of CPD activities and lectures monthly. We promote role extension, with MSK and chest reporting radiographers in training, and have advanced practice radiographers working in other areas. The Diagnostics and Pharmacy Group is part of the Northern Care Alliance (NCA), one of the largest NHS organizations in the country. It unites Radiology, Pathology, and Pharmacy services to deliver safe, high-quality care. For more information about the role and responsibilities, please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification under the supporting documents. Additional information about working at the NCA is available in the attached Candidate Information Pack or on our careers website: www.careers.northerncarealliance.nhs.uk . #J-18808-Ljbffr
