We are looking for a Temporary Traffic Signal Installer to install, repair, and remove our Urban64 Temporary traffic Light system on Local Authority Roads and National Highways sites around the UK.

About the Role
The main purpose of this role is to install, repair, and remove our Urban64 Temporary traffic Light system on Local Authority Roads and National Highways sites around the UK. While completing this work, you will be required to follow and work to the highest level of Health and Safety standards. You will work as part of a team from the stages of installation to decommissioning and various remedial work required in between.
You will predominantly work night shifts with occasional day duties and be placed on a callout Rota once adequately trained. You will be allocated a company vehicle for company use only, which you will be required to always keep clean and return any kit you are carrying back to your depot at your earliest convenience. You will also be required to collect kit from your depot and take this down to sites to hand over to ensure the smooth delivery of items between depots and sites.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure all work is undertaken with full regard for the safety of yourself, colleagues, contractors, and members of the public.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures while being alert and able to identify potential hazards to ensure these risks are either removed or the hazard reduced to an acceptable level of risk.
- Report all near misses and incidents.
- Read, sign, and comply with all company risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments.
- Attend, sign, and comply with all company-issued toolbox talks.
- The work will be carried out 24/7, 365 days of the year and will involve working nights, some days, and occasional weekends. It may also include staying away. Night allowances are paid as per your contract of employment.
- Although centrally based out of a depot, there will be a requirement to work in other areas of the country, which may involve overnight stays.
- Responsible for arriving at your place of work, which may be one of our depots or a client's site, in a timely manner to ensure we are able to run to programmed timescales.
- Undertake all relevant training to enable you to be proficient in the installation of our Urban 64 Temporary Traffic Light system.
- Support the Senior Installer or supervisor in their decision-making by communicating all on-site considerations effectively.
- Maintain the serviceability and cleanliness of your company vehicle, tooling, and equipment.
- Always represent the company's best interests by presenting yourself in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate discretion in respect to confidential and commercial information when interfacing with external contractors or customers.
- To carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by the line manager/Supervisor.
