We have a fantastic position for a Commis Chef in our new restaurant Hop Scotch at the brand new Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC.
Responsibilities:
As a Commis Chef youβre on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef. You will do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a Chef de Partie, rotating through sections such as sauce, vegetables, fish and butchery. This is your big chance to learn all there is to know about your trade.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Preparing the ingredients for a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef or Head Chef
- Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
- Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
- Is flexible and creative
- Has a real passion for food
- Has team spirit
- Has a minimum of 1 year experience
- Is interested in all areas of the kitchen
- Is ambitious to grow within the company
- Is adaptive to every situation in hospitality
- Is well organised and resistant to stress!
