The pastor will be responsible for fostering a culture where Christ's command to make disciples is practiced throughout our church family. The pastor will equip and empower others by enabling them to use their gifts effectively, creating a sense of ownership while establishing a process to routinely monitor and regularly report effectiveness of church ministries.
The candidate will be willing to be interviewed with the Alberta MB Conference (ABMB) credentialing team and have strong support for the ABMB Confession of Faith. This candidate will be familiar with rural congregational life and come with ministry experience and a strong passion for equipping people who can effectively share their faith and care for others.
The VMB Church began as a small farming church in the 1930s, built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Like many in the community, generations of families have grown together through the years. This congregation of under 100 has people from many generations and includes families from both Vauxhall and the surrounding communities. We have a long-standing history of faithful attendance and strong family connections seeking to serve and minister to our local community. We place a high value on developing the faith of our families and children while honoring all generations in our congregation.
VMB Church is characterized by a love for the Lord, a deep desire to grow to know Him and His word, and an enthusiasm to reach out into the community. There is a collective desire to honor the Lord in all things and to passionately share the life-changing truth of Jesus Christ with the community. This church has been working with a Transitional Pastor since March 2021 and we believe God is guiding us into our next season of growth, rich with opportunity. We are seeking a Lead Pastor that will embrace our vision and move forward with us.
