At Exeter Trade Aluminium, we manufacture a variety of slim line aluminium windows, bi-folding doors, sliding doors, rooflights, and verandas for both domestic and commercial installations. Established in 2015, we have grown and now operate from our custom-built factory in Sowton, offering fast lead times with £250,000 worth of stocked profile. We use state-of-the-art technology and tools operated by highly trained craftsmen to produce high-quality products efficiently. We partner with leading brands like Origin and system houses such as Reynaers AluK Cortizo and ALUNA(Alunet) to provide a wide range of aluminium glazing products. Our experienced management team is dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Fabricator role located in Exeter. The Fabricator will be responsible for the assembly and production of aluminium windows, doors, rooflights, and verandas. Daily tasks include:

  • Measuring, cutting, and shaping materials
  • Assembling frames
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Maintaining equipment
  • Ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Assisting in stock management
  • Maintaining an organized work environment

Qualifications

  • Experience with hand and power tools, and metal fabrication techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and assembly
  • Understanding of safety procedures and quality control
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Previous experience in aluminium fabrication or the glazing industry is a plus
  • Relevant vocational training or certifications in metal fabrication or a related field
