Compliance, Health and Safety Director

🚨 We’re Hiring: Group Compliance & Health & Safety Director | Midlands-Based

Our client is a leading developer, driving housing and regeneration across the Midlands. With 2,500+ plots in our current pipeline.

We’re seeking a Group Compliance and Health & Safety Director to lead regulatory compliance, governance, and H&S strategy across all business units and sites. This is a senior leadership role that will shape company-wide standards, culture, and performance in safety and compliance.

If you are currently transitioning out of the military or sports world or have a military background and have experience in health and safety, as well as the construction or civil industry, I want to hear from you.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Lead and evolve our company-wide compliance and H&S strategy (ISO, CDM 2015, HSE, ISO 45001)
• Advise the Board on regulatory and legal matters
• Oversee audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Champion continuous improvement across all sites
• Manage and mentor regional H&S teams
• Support tenders and ensure subcontractor compliance
• Drive employee engagement and safety leadership initiatives

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Proven senior leadership in H&S and compliance (construction or civils background preferred)
• CMIOSH or equivalent; NEBOSH Diploma Preferred
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and ISO standards
• A strategic thinker and influential communicator
• Track record of embedding high-performance safety cultures
