Job Summary
The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. This role also involves closing the shift for the day and preparing an accurate bank deposit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
- Handle all front desk activities including:
- Answer phones and assist callers with questions.
- Check members into the system.
- Sign up new members.
- Guide prospective members on tours.
- Update member accounts as needed.
- Respond to member questions and concerns professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the club.
- Close the shift at the end of the business day.
- Prepare the bank deposit for the next day.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Passion for fitness and health.
- Positive, upbeat attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to listen, empathise, and solve problems.
- Diplomatic in interactions, using appropriate language and behaviour.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Physical Demands
- Stand and walk continuously during shift.
- Talk in person or on the phone throughout the shift.
- Work overnight shifts (3rd shift).
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally encounter chemicals.
