The predicted salary is between 28000 - 42000 £ per year.

Based at Francis Wright Nursery, you will work full time, 35 hours per week. Francis Wright Nursery provides city-wide specialist provision for children with Additional Support Needs. You will work directly with children to role model effective teaching and learning and actively support curriculum development and innovation within the framework of Curriculum for Excellence, Building the Ambition, and Pre-Birth to 3.

Responsibilities

  • You will deliver quality education to young children and contribute, within the collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school.
  • You will observe, assess, and record the developmental progress of each child in the nursery, sharing this progress with the child, their family, and other professionals.
  • You will enable and support professional development, dialogue, and discourse within the nursery setting and support the establishment of quality assurance processes.

The Individual

  • You will have knowledge of the relevant early years curriculum area and an awareness of the main current issues in Scottish Early Learning and Childcare.
  • You will have demonstrable experience of early years provision and evidence of appropriate CPD in various areas.
  • You will have a willingness to undertake curriculum/personal development.
  • You will possess a positive and caring approach, a commitment to young people, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to relate well to others.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment by Dundee City Council.
