Enviromental Advisor (Waste) Department: Land and Mineral Resources Employment Type: Permanent – Full Time Location: Breedon Quarry, Derby Description We are currently seeking an Environmental Advisor to support our Land & Minerals Team. Suitable candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in technical waste assessment and/or end of waste development. You will join a team of 6 colleagues, reporting to the Environment Manager. We recognise that protecting the environment is one of the greatest challenges currently facing humanity and we are committed to operating our business in a way that embraces this challenge and works to minimise and or mitigate environmental impacts, through innovation and the application of industry best practice. This is a great opportunity to join us at the start of our journey in the environmental compliance for a FTSE 250 company. Our head office is at Breedon in the Hill, however this role can be based from anywhere within the UK and we will align you to a nearby site as a base. Please note, as part of this role, travel to multiple sites will be required. A company car or allowance will be provided to enable your travel. Key Responsibilities The provision of guidance on environmental policies, sustainability strategies, and eco-friendly practices. Monitoring and improving compliance with environmental legislation and standards. The assessment of environmental risks and opportunities for improvement. Reporting of key environmental information and actions to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate Providing technical guidance on waste acceptance, duty of care and definition of waste assessments Develop of process and system governance documents. Collaborating with and training stakeholders to promote awareness and drive improvement & best practice.
