We are looking for a highly experienced Lead AV Install & Support Engineer to take technical ownership of the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of AV systems across a range of high-profile client environments. This is a senior-level, hands-on role focused on delivering robust AV solutions and resolving complex support issues efficiently and effectively.
As the technical lead, you will be responsible for overseeing AV installations from inception to completion. You will act as a technical escalation point for AV support and mentoring junior engineers, ensuring that all systems are installed, configured, and supported to the highest standards. The role combines project delivery, technical leadership, and ongoing client support.
Installation & Project Delivery- Lead the installation of AV solutions.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and schematics.
- Rack-build, cable-manage and commission systems to a professional standard.
- Configure and test AV systems, ensuring functionality aligns with specifications.
- Provide expert-level 2nd & 3rd line support for AV systems, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Take ownership of escalated incidents and service requests, ensuring a timely and complete resolution.
- Identify root causes and implement permanent fixes to avoid repeat issues.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and service records.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
- Provide technical guidance and clear communication on customer site and remotely.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in AV installation and support, including leading on-site delivery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across client sites.

- Video Conferencing & Collaboration: Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, Poly / Polycom, Barco ClickShare
- Audio Systems: QSC (Q-SYS), Shure, Sennheiser, Dante
- Displays & Projection: Samsung, LG, Sony, NEC, SMART Technologies.
- AV over IP & Streaming: Crestron NVX, Extron NAV, Kramer KDS, SDVoE, NDI, RTSP, RTMP, H.264/H.265
- Room Booking & Environmental Control: Crestron Scheduling, Extron Room Manager, Evoko, Condeco, Lutron, KNX.
- CTS or vendor-specific certifications (e.g. Extron Certified, Crestron QSC).
- AV design capabilities including CAD.
- Strong business stakeholder management.
- Professional and positive, with good customer-facing practices.
