MCS Group is looking for a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join a highly renowned financial services firm based in Belfast. This is a brand-new contract job opportunity.

The Company: Our client is a long-established investment service provider connecting institutional buyers and sellers globally - providing broking services, intermediation across various markets, data and analytics, digital asset derivatives, and more. With several offices worldwide and consistent growth, they are recognized as a top employer in Northern Ireland and have a highly skilled Belfast office.

The Rewards: The successful Credit Risk Analyst will have the opportunity to support the firm’s Americas region.

The Role: The Credit Risk Analyst will support the management of credit and market risk across the US region, including:

  • Overseeing credit and market risk - escalating breaches and issues
  • Setting and monitoring credit limits aligned with risk appetite
  • Monitoring counterparty utilization and outstanding trades
  • Managing limit exceptions and risk-based credit limits
  • Tracking pre-trade credit limits and exposure on e-trading platforms
  • Escalating market risk exposure during broking processes
  • Providing risk reports to internal stakeholders

The Person: The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar financial services role
  • Knowledge of market risk and multi-asset trading
  • Understanding of institutional credit risk management and counterparty exposure
  • Knowledge of equities, fixed income, and listed derivatives (advantageous)
  • Experience in wholesale financial markets (desirable)
