The Profs are an award-winning and innovative EdTech business providing higher education tutoring to clients and institutions around the world. After experiencing rapid growth, we are looking to further expand our in-house content strategy.
The Role:
We are seeking a content writer to join our ambitious and fast-growing team, with the aim of delivering a full content strategy with our Head of Marketing. The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of UK education, specifically higher education at top-tier universities. A knowledge of a variety of different written styles for different digital purposes, including blogs, service pages, and product pages, is also expected.
Duties include:
- Executing the content strategy designed by Head of Marketing
- Using SEO tools to improve the keyword density of content pieces
- Proofreading supporting content written by freelancers or AI
- Finding innovative ways to display or write hero content
- Making information about higher education accessible and interesting
- Advertising The Profs’ services
Essential Skills:
- Faultless copywriting and copyediting for:
- blogs
- service and product page
- scripts (podcast and video)
- social media
- paid adverts
- PR pieces and journalist articles
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Superb research skills
- High standards of accuracy
- Advanced proofreading skills
- Experience working in or extensive knowledge of the higher education system in the UK
- Excellent understanding of the admissions process for Oxbridge, Medicine and Law
- Good knowledge of the UK undergraduate and postgraduate entry requirements and degree modules, especially for Russell Group, Golden Triangle, and Oxbridge Universities.
