Our school Grove St Academy is a NYSED Certified 853 special education school located on the campus of the Children's Home of Kingston in Kingston, NY. Grove St Academy provides necessary educational services for both day and residential students age range 8-21, grades 4th -12th. Grove Street Academy specializes in small classroom settings and utilizes project-based learning on campus and in the community. We use a Trauma System Therapy approach throughout the campus and provide the students and their families with a system of support and interventions that are not available within the public education sectors.

Teacher Job Responsibilities:
- Implementing and maintaining educational systems and instructional programs within the classroom and school environment.
- Ongoing formal and informal assessment of student abilities and needs, and the development of IEP goals and instructional interventions to address learning needs.
- Providing guidance to all Teaching Assistants.
- Works collaboratively with clinician, guidance counselor, and other professionals to ensure all educational needs are met and provide feedback which affects other areas of the student's life.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree with NYS Initial/Professional Certification in Special Education or General Education.
