The predicted salary is between 47500 - 52500 £ per year.
In this role, you will support the bid team's output (SQs/ITTs/presentations etc), producing generic technical and non-technical content, ensuring content written by others responds to questions asked, formatted correctly. Carry out final reviews of all bids including quality, grammatical and sense checking ensuring the bid is ready to be submitted by the required deadline. You will ideally be a competent user of InDesign with a passion for writing and previous bid writing/coordinating experience.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support with strategy development and content planning.
- Ensure all responses comply with the specification provided.
- Work with the bid co-ordinator to dissect questions and produce answer plans to maximise relevant information extracted from team members.
- Present technical information in easy-to-understand ways.
- Update and maintain a strong library of pre-written and re-usable content (e.g. company information, standard responses, technical content, staff CVs, project case studies, marketing material, graphics and photos).
- Using online client portals to upload/download documents, raise questions and circulate responses and alerts.
- Ensure win themes are articulated in such a way to meet/exceed the client's requirements.
- Assist in the management of the team inbox and diary.
- Assist with the creation of presentations for tender interviews.
- Assist with organisation of layout to produce high quality submissions working within the confines of each client's bid requirements.
- Request and obtain feedback monitoring bid results; wins, losses.
- Working with MD and Directors to produce and update our database of case studies and reviews.
Additional Responsibilities (as required):
- Support in writing content from scratch, copy editing and proof reading with emphasis on compliance with client requirements, completeness and customer focus.
- Ensure documents are accurate and the finished product is perfectly formatted.
- Working with MD to audit and maintain our library of pre-written content (e.g. standard responses, technical content, project sheets, graphics, images and diagrams).
- Support to Directors on pre-prepositioning and capture planning for upcoming opportunities.
Experience:
- Degree in English language or linguistics preferred.
- Professional writing skills with proven experience of understanding bid procedures and responding to tenders and framework bids, ideally in the construction consultancy services industry.
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to present information visually.
- Highly motivated with outstanding organisational skills.
- Excellent English language (vocabulary), grammar and communication skills.
- Forensic attention to detail and meticulous proof-reading skills.
- Office 365.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of the end-to-end bid process.
- Proven track record in the sector in a similar role.
- Flexibility to meet time pressures and deadlines.
- Time management and planning.
- Strong software skills to include: Canva/Acrobat/InDesign, Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Visio, a variety of customer portals, SharePoint.
