The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This is a technical role working within the Product Development team. You will be responsible for the digital technical development of various garments, including woven & jersey dresses & separates, tailoring & outerwear. Creating tech packs, CADs and adjustments from the handover of initial sketch from the designers to the delivery of first sample.
Major responsibilities include but are not restricted to:
- Liaise with the designers and design team to produce technical packs which are true to the designer’s vision and the brand's quality standards.
- Draw accurate technical drawings using Illustrator, CADs.
- Decide on appropriate finishes, construction and help choose suitable hardware.
- Collect relevant information from team members and collate into tech specs in Illustrator.
- Clear communication with different departments to ensure that each garment detail fits into the intended collection.
- Clear understanding and communication of garment construction and pattern cutting, so accurate and clear tech packs can be made for the offshore sampling teams.
- Knowledge of how to improve the quality of garments to a higher level.
- Work with the in-house PLM system to liaise with offshore factories to answer queries on technical specs.
- Amend technical packs after fittings or range reviews to keep all designs up to date and accurate.
- Prepare garments for fits including organizing fit rails, steaming & managing post.
Requirements:
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar or complementary role.
- Experience in multiproduct.
- Proficient in Illustrator and Excel.
- Confident in garment construction and pattern cutting techniques.
- Good fabric knowledge.
- Comfortable working to a strict schedule.
- Confident in measurements and proportions.
- Committed team player & enthusiasm for the role.
