AWE is currently recruiting professional individuals with a thorough knowledge of Eddy Current Testing (ET) used within Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). NDT at AWE is a growing organisation where we welcome candidates from the aerospace, oil and gas, nuclear, rail and military sectors, ideally with an engineering background. We are looking for those individuals who are certified as both Level 2 and Level 3 in ET (EN4179 / PCN / SNT / ASNT / NAS410) to apply. If however, you consider yourself a subject matter expert in eddy current testing, but missing the certification, then we are very much interested in you too!
All training will be provided as well as a career progression supporting NDT qualification to advance your career as a non-destructive testing professional. Our eddy current inspections include manual and automated scanning using a variety of coil types including array systems. If any of these areas is within your skillset or simply within your ambition to learn, then we welcome your application.
This role will be hands-on in the testing of warhead products, to inspect, develop, innovate, and validate future inspections and advise on capability that is fit for nuclear warhead inspections.
