An UHNW client is seeking a Live-in Housekeeper for their newly renovated private residence in central London (Fitzrovia). This position can be either live-in or live-out. Exceptionally high standards are essential for this role. Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years working in a formal household for UHNW private clients. This position must be filled by someone with expertise and knowledge within their field. This role will be key to the smooth running of a brand-new household.

Duties include:

  • All areas of cleaning including dusting, polishing, hoovering, and mopping
  • Changing beds, doing laundry, ironing, and organising dry cleaning
  • Wardrobe management and care of fine garments and shoes
  • Cleaning of all glassware
  • Deep cleaning the property at the appropriate times
  • Plant & flower care
  • Maintaining fine furniture, caring for antiques, artwork, and specialist high-end surfaces
  • Ordering cleaning products, replacing lightbulbs, and other household necessities
  • Basic cooking for the family when Chef is not present
  • Setting, serving, and clearing the table
  • Care of 2 boys (aged 3 & 6 years) as back up for when Nanny is not in residence

Key Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and proactive
  • Hands-on with a great energy and team-player attitude
  • Must be discreet and trustworthy, and help maintain these qualities throughout the team
  • Must be well presented and maintain a professional manner at all times

Working days/hours: 5-6 days per week, 40-50 hours on a rota

Accommodation (if Live-in): basement bedroom with ensuite, staff kitchen, living, and utility rooms (only 1 other member of staff lives in)

Salary: £38,000-£45,000 gross per annum (depending on hours agreed and if Live-in or Live-out)
