We have a part time vacancy for an administration assistant to join our established Administration Team, providing clerical support to the Integrated Healthcare Team. This role is based within HMP Lincoln and will require MOJ Vetting as well as enhanced DBS. You will be required to work in a Healthcare setting and may come into contact with prisoners. You will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of prison keys for which full training will be given.

HMP Lincoln is a Category B community remand prison and houses around 600 male prisoners both sentenced and on remand. Parts of the estate are Grade II listed Victorian buildings dating back to the late 1800s. The Administration Team supports the day to day running of our Integrated Healthcare Department, encompassing both primary care; including nurse and GP provision, dental, physiotherapy, sexual health, optometry as well as both primary and secondary mental health services and psychiatric care along with additional specialist healthcare.

You will provide clerical assistance to an established team, using Systmone, which is a widely used electronic healthcare record system, and a variety of Microsoft Office packages and bespoke database systems. The role includes data entry, telephone calls, photocopying and scanning documents, maintaining records, collating and distributing post and some porter duties. Attention to detail is critical in this role and the post holder must be able to demonstrate confidentiality, a non-judgemental approach and uphold equality and diversity values.

There may be occasions where you could encounter patient background in relation to offending behaviours which you may find upsetting.
