Our client is a global manufacturing company, specialising in providing engineering solutions to an extensive list of high-profile companies. This Production Team Leader role will be responsible for overseeing the assembly of hydraulics and valves for various industries.
The successful Production Team Leader will be responsible for:
- Producing hydraulic components using hand tools and machinery
- Following standard operating procedures in order to assemble components in a timely manner, accurately and to the quality expected
- Operating and monitoring assembly line machines
- Escalating line problems to supervisors
- Performing minor assembly line set up duties in preparation of assembly operations
- Inspection of all work, ensuring that any defects are identified
- Completing paperwork as required
- Keeping work area clean and tidy
- Observing safety rules at all times
The ideal Production Team Leader will have:
- Previous experience working within a production, manufacturing or engineering environment is essential
- Technical knowledge and ability to read SOPs, blueprints, drawings etc.
- Ability to use hand tools
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
