The City Of Edinburgh Council is recruiting centrally for Teachers Of Health & Food Technology in the following schools across the City of Edinburgh.

Posting Details

Salary: £34,938 – £52,614

Hours: 35 per week

Schedule: Posts will commence in August 2026. Candidates are expected to be fully registered with the GTCS by 10th August 2026.

Requirements

Teachers must be fully registered with the GTCS by 10th August 2026.

Teachers are required to be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 scheme, or undergo an update check. Candidates who have spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years must provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check.

For Catholic schools, teachers must have approval of the Bishop of a Diocese for appointment to any post. For details on how to seek approval please go to our approval guide.
