We are currently seeking a GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist (with licence to practise) to join an innovative and forward-thinking mental health service in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with a passion for person-centred, progressive care to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults experiencing complex mental health challenges.
About the Role
You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary team that values depth, curiosity, and inclusivity in psychiatric care. Ideal candidates will have expertise in general adult psychiatry, with experience or interest in neurodiversity, complex trauma, or intersectional mental health. This role offers the chance to shape services from the front line, bringing both clinical rigour and a compassionate approach to every aspect of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and establish clear diagnostic formulations
- Prioritise care using sound clinical judgement based on urgency and complexity
- Manage clinical risk effectively, including crisis response and safeguarding procedures
- Provide clinical leadership within the Single Point of Access (SPA)
- Advise colleagues on triage and complex assessments
- Maintain and champion high standards of care across the service
- Develop and review tailored care plans in collaboration with MDTs
- Prescribe and monitor treatments, ensuring efficacy and safety
- Offer specialist input for complex presentations and treatment pathways
Essential Criteria
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise
- Section 12 and Approved Clinician status
- Skilled in psychiatric diagnosis, risk management, and clinical documentation
- MRCPsych or equivalent
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
