Position Summary
Do you like working with your hands? Do you enjoy variety in your work? The Surface Experts Repair Specialist role might be perfect for you! No two jobs are the same, and most repairs require creativity, often taking just an hour to complete.
We are establishing a local branch (the first in the Boston area) of a national brand and seek individuals who are creative, team players, flexible, and teachable.
Qualifications
- Experience working with your hands, either through previous work or hobbies
- Ability to work as part of a team and manage your own schedule daily
- An art background is helpful but not required
- Understanding color matching is important; if you are colour blind, this may not be the right job for you
About Surface Experts
SE is a national service franchise specializing in repair and restoration of solid surfaces such as countertops, cabinets, flooring (wood, laminate, tile, etc.), bathroom fixtures (tubs, showers), appliances, and furniture. Our clients include multi-family apartment buildings, student housing, hotels, assisted living facilities, and other commercial properties. We also collaborate with moving companies, restoration companies, realtors, construction firms, and homeowners.
Our goal is to solve customers' problems by enabling them to "Repair, Not Replace." We provide quicker, more economical repairs with less hassle, helping reduce waste sent to landfills.
Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Surface Experts is an all-inclusive surface repair service provider, capable of fixing minor damages to surfaces like floors, countertops, bathtubs, cabinets, appliances, furniture, and elevator panels—almost everything! We pride ourselves on fast, friendly, and professional service, combining traditional skills with modern technology for durable, appealing repairs, all delivered with a smile.
Most repairs are small, often less than a dinner plate, focusing on spot repair rather than complete resurfacing. Our priority is customer satisfaction and long-term relationships, emphasizing time, cost, and material savings.
Our repairs typically use only 1-2 tablespoons of product, allowing technicians to carry all tools in a small vehicle. Repairs are clean, odour-free, and completed in under two hours.
