Are you an enthusiastic and inspiring Music Teacher who can ignite a love for music in young people? We are seeking a dedicated practitioner to join a creative arts department and help students find their voice—whether through performance, composition or appreciation of music from all cultures and genres. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Music Teacher:

  • Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 if applicable).
  • Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that build students’ musical knowledge, creativity, and confidence.
  • Develop students’ practical skills in performance, composition and music technology.
  • Support and lead musical enrichment activities such as choirs, bands, concerts or school productions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote the role of music within the wider school community.

Ideal Music Teacher:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with a passion for music education.
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of musical styles and instruments.
  • Experience with classroom music software and technology (e.g. GarageBand, Sibelius, Logic, Soundtrap).
  • A commitment to high expectations, creativity and inclusive practice.
  • Someone who will enrich school life through musical events and extra-curricular opportunities as a Music Teacher.
