We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join their vibrant Creative Arts and Technology faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with a passion for innovation and hands-on learning to help students develop practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a love for design. Starting September 2025.
Duties as Design Technology Teacher:
- Teach Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
- Deliver high-quality lessons in areas such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, or textiles (depending on specialism).
- Promote safety, creativity, and precision in the workshop or classroom environment.
- Plan engaging projects that challenge pupils and develop real-world skills.
- Track student progress and support individual learning needs.
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities such as STEM clubs, competitions or exhibitions.
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree or specialism in Design & Technology or a related subject.
- Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and industry-relevant technologies.
- Practical experience in workshop tools, CAD/CAM and design processes.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Design Technology Teacher.
