With small class sizes and a focus on all-round education – academic, character, and faith – this is a place where your teaching can truly make a difference. At The King's School we provide an environment that challenges and inspires, supported by an outstanding pastoral care team and a collaborative, passionate staff. As a teacher here, you will have the unique opportunity to encourage pupils in their journey of faith, modelling a meaningful relationship with Jesus that is real and relevant.

We’re looking for a patient, caring, and enthusiastic teacher with a love for languages and a commitment to equipping young people with effective linguistic skills. As our Teacher of French, you will:

  • Deliver French lessons to classes across Years 7–11, with a maximum of 22 pupils per KS3 class.
  • Teach engaging, interactive lessons in our dedicated MFL classroom.
  • Guide GCSE students following the Pearson/Edexcel course, typically 8–10 students per year group.
  • Work with an established scheme of work and lesson ideas while having the freedom to shape and expand the curriculum. We are open to the option of switching to Spanish should that be a better fit for the successful candidate.
  • Enjoy 50 min lessons that are the perfect length for engaging students in a variety of learning methods.

The role is usually spread across three or four days, with flexibility on exact hours/days to suit your schedule. There is scope to add language teaching in the Primary school for those wanting longer hours. The King's School has its own pay scale, with contributions to an employer's pension scheme and healthcare cover available to all staff.

Join us in creating a learning space that equips pupils with language skills, develops their confidence in communication, and inspires their faith journey.
