Job Overview

The Bulk Account Merchandiser (BAM) is responsible for selling, ordering, and presenting products. The BAM role involves selling new products and promotions, collaborating with customers to generate accurate product orders, ensuring execution of commercial plans, and merchandising products using safe handling techniques and adhering to quality guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage, sell, and execute in an assigned group of customers on daily, pre-set routes, generating sales orders based on delivery frequency to ensure operational success and contribute to the company's financial performance.
  • Implement applicable promotions and new products based on target lists, monthly initiatives, marketing promotions, POS, and commercial plans to ensure high RED scores.
  • Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on display and shelves according to procedures and special programs.
  • Organize and maintain back room by stacking and arranging products, managing returns, damaged, and out-of-date products.
  • Create and distribute point-of-sale materials, rotate products, and check vendor operations.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up and proactive engagement.
  • Identify and communicate any market or competitive issues impacting the business and perform all duties safely.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Effective communication skills including listening, speaking, and writing
  • Customer service experience preferred in retail
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly)
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Secondary education beyond high school preferred
  • High initiative and eagerness to learn
  • Career-oriented and competitive

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid in-state driver's license
  • Excellent driving record
