Role Overview

The Math Interventionist supports student success by providing targeted mathematics instruction to students performing below grade level or needing additional support. This role involves collaborating with classroom teachers, instructional coaches, and school leadership to design and deliver individualized and small-group interventions, utilising data-driven practices to close learning gaps and promote mathematical proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Massachusetts Teacher Certification in appropriate subject area.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • Experience in teaching or supporting students in math, especially in intervention or small-group settings.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.

Performance Responsibilities

  • Deliver small-group and individualised math instruction.
  • Assess students' math achievement levels using diagnostic and formative assessments.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans aligned with student needs and goals.
  • Monitor and track student progress; adjust instruction as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and instructional teams.
  • Participate in team and IEP meetings.
