On behalf of a long-established, family-run business in the compact machinery sector, we're recruiting a Technical Sales Representative to join their growing UK team.

This is a rare opportunity for someone with a genuine technical interest in machinery who prefers building relationships over hard selling. The company is a respected name in its niche, offering an excellent product portfolio and a loyal customer base across construction, landscaping, and related industries.

The Role:

This is not your typical sales job its about understanding customer challenges and providing the right equipment solutions through knowledge and trust. The successful candidate will work closely with clients across the UK, offering consultative advice, on-site demonstrations, and ongoing support.

You'll be part of a close-knit, collaborative team that values integrity, expertise, and long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and assesscustomer needs to recommend suitable compact machinery and attachments
  • Conduct site visits and deliver practical, hands-on product demonstrations
  • Act as a technical advisor to clients before, during, and after the sale
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers across multiple industries
  • Stay informed about product updates and innovations
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience

Ideal Candidate:

  • Background in technical, mechanical, or machinery-related roles (e.g. engineering, construction equipment, plant hire)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills professional, personable, and honest
  • Confident demonstrating equipment and explaining its benefits in real-world applications
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own diary and travel schedule
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
