Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist, following the patient's Plan of Treatment
- Consult regularly with the Physical Therapist regarding patient progress and concerns
- Assist with equipment cleaning, maintenance, and department area upkeep
- Report equipment issues to ensure proper functioning
- Communicate patient needs and progress, and assist in securing adaptive equipment to enhance rehabilitation
- Maintain and submit accurate patient treatment and billing documentation in compliance with regulations
- Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct, policies, and applicable laws
- Participate in staff development programs and continuing education to maintain clinical skills
Qualifications
- Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practicing state
- Basic Life Support or CPR certification per state requirements
- At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injuries
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
