We are seeking three experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for our client based near Bolton. You will need to be 25 or older and have held your Class 1 (Cat C & E) licence for three years and have no more than 6 points. We require 2 x day drivers and 1 x night driver on a 4 on 2 off shift pattern. The role will involve completing deliveries to retail outlets (3 stores per shift). All goods will be palletised and deliveries will be made using an electric pallet truck. The requirement is initially for a period of three months until the end of August but could be extended or lead to a permanent position. Full training will be provided and during the training and induction period you will work alongside an experienced driver who will show you the procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of materials.
  • Conduct pre & post use vehicle checks each day.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols while driving and during loading/unloading procedures.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver in a similar commercial driving role would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate referenceable experience.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.

PAYE rates include holiday pay.
