Essex County Council are delighted to be supporting Basildon Council to recruit the role of Interim Executive Director – Strategy, People & Transformation. *This is a temporary full-time opportunity for an initial six-month period. The role requires a presence at the Basildon Council office at least three days per week. We are seeking an outstanding interim leader to step into the role of Executive Director of Strategy, People & Transformation. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape and drive forward our strategic ambitions, lead our transformation agenda, and ensure our workforce is future-ready—particularly in the context of Local Government Reorganisation (LGR). The role will provide transformational leadership and services Integration and Delivery across the Council’s key service areas, including: Policy Transformation & Change Management Performance Partnerships Communications and Events Public Affairs Leaders Office HR, Payroll & OD PMO You will bring a proven track record of success in organisational transformation, strategic leadership, and HR.
