Process Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Apply professional engineering principles, judgement, and innovative thinking to design solutions for pipeline and installation development.
  • Process modelling, simulations, and calculations for pipework sizing, valve sizing, determining pressure drops, identifying compression requirements, heat exchanger requirements, heat and mass balance, vent and flare design etc.
  • Technical reporting including input into feasibility, conceptual and detailed design level reports, basis of design documents, and technical specifications.
  • Participation in project meetings including project progress meetings and HAZID, HAZOP, layout reviews.
  • Development and review of process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
Your background as a Process Engineer:
  • Previous experience in of working within the gas transmission or a similar regulated industry sector.
  • Proficient in using process modelling software.
  • Familiar with UK and industry design legislation, standards, and specifications for the gas industry e.g., IGEM, ASME, CDM etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • You will hold a degree qualified (2:1 and above classification) in a Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
