Responsibilities

• Vital Signs and Documentation: Obtain and record vital signs, including height and weight, and accurately document intake and output as ordered. Report any concerns or abnormal findings to the licensed nurse.
• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist patients with eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and other ADLs, and document appropriate care notes.
• Medical Equipment Management: Ensure medical equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately after each use. Efficiently track medical supplies and equipment, disposing of expired items.
• Workflow Organization and Team Support: Organize and prioritize tasks to complete all duties and assist team members in patient care. Sign off on shift assignment sheets to confirm completion.
• Collaboration and Staff Engagement: Attend nursing huddles, staff meetings, and collaborative meetings, and assist with the orientation of new staff members to the unit.

Qualifications

• Education
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: Completion of training course for nursing assistants.
• Experience
  • Required: Basic patient care methods, procedures, and techniques.
  • Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certifications
  • Required: Current certification to practice as a nursing assistant in the state of practice.
