FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Analyst to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in either London or Edinburgh.
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in performance and attribution calculations. Have expertise in the implementation of FactSet, preferably within an asset owner environment, though asset management experience is also acceptable. You will be collaborating with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. The ideal candidate will have additional experience in implementing Fundipedia and Aladdin.
Responsibilities- Business Analyst for the implementation and optimisation of FactSet within the organisation
- Design, develop, and maintain performance and attribution calculation models
- Analyse and interpret complex financial data and fund of fund hierarchies to provide insights on investment performance
- Setup and testing of accounts and benchmarks (including composite benchmarks) within FactSet
- Support the implementation and integration of Fundipedia and Aladdin systems
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes, methodologies, and systems
- Provide training and support to end-users on performance and attribution tools
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across various platforms and reports
- Identify areas for process improvement and automation
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in performance measurement and attribution
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with experience in Asset Managers/Asset Owners
- Demonstrable experience implementing Factset, Fundipedia and Aladdin
- Relevant experience in designing, developing, and maintaining performance and attribution calculation models
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business analysis tools (e.g., Visio, JIRA, Confluence)
