LOCATION: East Yorkshire

SALARY AND BENEFITS: £50-£70k package DOE + healthcare

THE ROLE: Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to work for them on a permanent basis at their office in East Yorkshire, some hybrid working is available. The client is open as to the level of experience from intermediate level to senior, hence the wide salary range. This is a great opportunity to work on some exciting projects, helping to provide working building services design solutions to technical problems.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Assist with formulating the scope of works and developing the electrical design philosophy
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the building services design team to ensure the timely delivery of information, checking the work of other members of staff and providing assistance to their continued learning and development
  • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary design environment such that designs consider the impact across all relevant disciplines
  • Undertake calculations using design software. Experience preferred but training can be provided
  • Produce detailed design drawings and schematic drawings suitable for construction using CAD Software e.g. AutoCAD, Revit

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Previous experience working as a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer in a consultancy environment
  • Working knowledge of the CDM 2015 regulations, ensuring that designs are compliant and produce Designers Risk Assessments for projects
  • Awareness of, and willingness to develop a working knowledge of, 3D Modelling and Building Information Modelling using Revit
  • Ability to work effectively within a design team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Competent user of relevant design software packages, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are met
