Junior Designer - Soft Wovens & Tailoring

Our client is a successful ladies\’ supplier looking to grow their design team and is seeking to recruit a junior designer to work across woven multi-product ranges. The company supplies large fashion retailers in the UK.

If you are trend-led, with a creative and commercial eye, and possess a young to mid-market handwriting, and are looking for career progression, this is a great opportunity.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Researching, developing, and creating market-leading woven ranges.
• Identifying and executing new product opportunities.
• Liaising with overseas factories and maintaining relationships.
• Working closely with factories in Bangladesh.
• Attending customer meetings when required.
• Producing accurate and detailed CAD drawings and tech packs.
• Overseeing sampling development and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Sourcing new fabrics, techniques, and trims.

Person Specifications:

• Strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercially savvy with excellent on-trend knowledge.
• Confident in attending customer meetings.
