We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Manager with a strong experience of leading of leading Cyber Security Operations teams. In this role you will be responsible for delivering robust threat detection and response capabilities, vulnerability management scanning, and configuration of core security tooling. You will also be expected to ensure the alignment to industry standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls. The Security team is a dynamic highly motivated team committed to the ensuring that Optum UK is organisationally and technically secure in fast moving environment with substantial critical assets, systems and patient data to protect in multiple locations and geographies. As a Senior Cyber Security Operations Manager, you will also oversee the matrix management of SOC personnel across 24/7 shifts, the delivery of cyber security programs and ensure consistent delivery of security operations objectives Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include; Leading a remote 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) team, providing matrix management and guidance to the SOC Manager, shift leads and analysts Driving the coverage, configuration, tuning, and effective operation of multiple security tools/platforms Overseeing threat detection, monitoring, triage, and incident response functions Implementing and maintaining operational practices that align with ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Critical Security Controls Identifying and assess cyber risks, prioritize mitigation efforts, and track resolution of vulnerabilities across the organization Ensuring rapid containment and resolution of cyber threats Working closely with teams across the business to ensure secure configurations, threat mitigation, and audit readiness Who you’ll be You will have experience working as a Cyber Security Operations Manager leading teams within a matrix management structure. You will also have strong technical knowledge of security technologies and processes related to EDR, NDR, web proxies, SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability scanning platforms. We want you to be able to have a growth mindset, take ownership and accountability for what you are doing, be keen to learn new technologies and be comfortable working with autonomy and using your initiative. We want you to have a curious nature, looking at improvements and efficiencies Other key skills we are looking for you to demonstrate include; In-depth understanding of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls frameworks, and experience applying them in an operational context. Hands on experience with vulnerability management, major incident handling, and threat hunting. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent. Ability to assess technical reports and develop remediation solutions.
