We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker at our Barrhead, AB facility. As a Maintenance Worker, you are responsible for general maintenance of the facility site, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance activities on equipment in the milling facility.
  • Operate low volume boilers to generate steam for processing.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a grain processing environment on elevated platforms and ladders where necessary.
  • Monday to Friday work schedule.
  • Effective reading, writing, communication, and basic computer and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs.
  • Mechanically inclined with an interest in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and suggesting improvements for the facility.
  • Experience with general maintenance, operating forklifts, skid steer loaders, and front-end loaders is an asset.
