The role of SARC Manager is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required. Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower them to feel in control and support them during the forensic examination process where applicable.

Each county has its own dedicated Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). The service has been commissioned to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of sexual assault and rape. Mountain Healthcare is a specialist business already providing similar services to 20 other SARCs across the UK. As SARC Manager, you will coordinate all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC, lead and manage the multi-agency centre, and develop a strategic vision for the service. You will ensure changes meet expectations and budget constraints, and be available to cover the service out of hours, including nights and weekends.

Job Details:

  • Location: The Glade SARC, Bransford, Worcestershire, WR6 5JD
  • Additional Location: The Glade (Telford spoke site); travel required
  • Salary: £48,616 per annum
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, predominantly Monday to Friday, with flexibility for out-of-hours cover including nights and weekends
  • Shift Pattern: 8 hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver safe, effective services meeting national and local targets for rape and sexual assault
  • Evaluate and improve current service delivery within budget
  • Manage all employees associated with the SARC

Additional Information:

All successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS, references, and police vetting NVVP Level 2 checks. Because of the nature of this role, applications are invited from females only, under the Sex Discrimination Act, Sections 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
