Role purpose:
The Product Owner manages the interface to the Cyber Security Line of Business particularly the Business Product Manager associated with your products/platform/developments. You will be assigned to one or multiple products and their value streams for product development. You will work with a small team of technology product owners to effectively negotiate, manage, and agree on demand in practice for these products. You will also manage the finance and operational governance, delivering agreed enhancement/changes. You will work with broader practice leads, vendors, technology, and operations teams to build the technology plan to inform and deliver the product/platform strategy and roadmap. This will require a strong technology understanding of the products to be developed. You will also align and prioritise technology innovation and customer co-creation for the practice.
The Product Owner is responsible for the βhowβ, ensuring they support the Cyber Security product manager (accountable for the βwhatβ) in building the product roadmap, advising mandatory technology capabilities, progressing impact assessments, and agreeing on behalf of the practice that the final prioritised roadmap is viable from a technology, cost, and delivery perspective.
You will contribute to the creation of product features for development, working jointly with the Cyber Security product manager, who leads this and makes the final decision. You will then translate these into lower-level user stories and technical specifications, ensuring they are underpinned by an E2E technical architecture (including user journeys and service models), working with other technology roles (e.g., architects and squad leads).
You will be responsible for in-life technology management activities encompassing the E2E product architecture (including service, operations, etc.) related to the product roadmap, which is interlocked with the Cyber Security product manager.
Product Owners will help undertake activities such as building lower-level feature designs and user stories within agile development teams and prioritising the backlog.
