Lakeview Nursery are looking for a Level 3 Early Years Apprentice, who can ensure that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.
Wage: £15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
Hours: Monday - Friday, hours range from 7.30am - 6.00pm, 40 hours a week.
Duration: 1 year 6 months.
What you’ll do at work:
- Attend team meetings and input ideas.
- Under supervision, provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding.
- Assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children.
- Provide adult interaction with children in the nursery.
- Adhere to all the nursery's policies, procedures, safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Be enthusiastic and willing to learn at all times.
- Obtain sound knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage Framework to plan, observe and assess the children.
- Have key worker children and care for their individual needs.
- Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
- Attend all out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents' evenings, summer fair, Christmas parties, and much more.
The Key areas for this apprenticeship are:
- Work with children.
- Work towards NVQ in level 3.
- Attend training and complete assignments set.
- Be part of a team.
- Liaise with mentor, room supervisor, third officer in charge, deputy manager and manager.
Training:
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- GCSE in Maths (grade 4).
- Experience within an Early Years setting or a Level 2 qualification in Early Years is essential.
