Location: Rotherham, Yorkshire
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week (0600-1400, 1400-2200, 2200-0600)
As a Robot Welder, you will be working within an advanced manufacturing environment to ensure the efficient running of our state-of-the-art robotic machinery. Ideally, you will have good knowledge of MIG Welding with a background of working in a similar manufacturing environment, using grinders and other associated hand and power tools. You will also be able to read and interpret engineering drawings including welding symbols.
You will use robotic software to create directions for manufacturing applications to ensure production targets and KPIs are achieved, prioritising safety and product quality. You will look to continually improve the process, promoting a right first-time culture.
Responsibilities:- Perform daily pre-start checks according to site controls and code of practice
- Understand various pieces of robotic equipment, ensuring they are running at peak performance
- Robot programming and troubleshooting
- Perform all touch point functions involved in operation of robotic welder
- Position and secure workpieces using proper equipment
- Meet production schedules with the correct quality level within the specified time
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Team Leader
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure standards are met
- Monitor products to ensure they meet customer specifications, taking corrective actions when necessary
- Robotic welding experience or knowledge within a manufacturing sector
- Strong understanding of robot control interfaces with ancillary equipment
- A flexible approach to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
