Job Description

Health & Safety Auditors

Position Overview

We are seeking three Health & Safety (HSE) professionals to join on a contract basis, with the potential for permanent conversion. These roles are focused on conducting audits and follow-up actions across multiple sites within the organization. The primary objective is to ensure compliance, support incident investigation, and prepare for a smooth handover to future permanent hires.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular and thorough health and safety audits across assigned regions (North, Midlands, South).
  • Follow up on actions from incidents, accidents, and near misses, coordinating with site directors and stakeholders.
  • Compile and submit audit reports; perform remote work for documentation as required
  • Serve as the primary HSE point of contact for the region, supporting multiple business entities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including ISO and LOLER, and company-specific requirements.
  • Participate in handover and knowledge transfer to permanent staff during the transition period.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in conducting HSE audits, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, oil & gas, rail, or similar/relevant environments
  • Multi-site experience highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of physical safety in environments with moving parts, trucks, and equipment.
  • Ability to manage a focused workload centered on audits and action follow-ups rather than broad HSE management.

Preferred Skills

  • NEBOSH certification preferred (e.g., Working Safely, Managing Safely), but not essential if substantial relevant experience is demonstrated.
  • Experience with ISO standards and LOLER is advantageous.
