Posting Details Position Information Working Title Academic Specialist Department College of Informatics Compensation Title Academic Specialist Position Number 30000049 Position Status Regular Work Schedule M-F 8:15am-4:30pm Hours per Week 37.5 Months per Year 12 Purpose of Position As a member of the College of Informatics administrative support staff, this position assists with activities that enhance the educational opportunities of the students and the functions and mission of the schools, advising center and college. Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing administrative support to college faculty, staff. Being responsible for records retention/destruction. Assisting with processing travel request/expense reports for dean, faculty, staff, and students; including conference registrations, and reimbursements. Processing course entry permits. Ordering textbooks & desk copies for COI faculty. Ensuring COI course syllabi are uploaded into Faculty Success. Being responsible for PCard reconciling. Managing key requests and oversite of annual key inventory. Processing purchase requisitions, Parked Vendor Invoices, and general reimbursements. Providing administrative support to the dean and manage the dean\’s calendar. Qualifications Bachelor\’s degree plus two years of related experience required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, trustworthiness, self-starter, and be able to multi-task. Must be able to work with a diverse population.
