The Application Analyst, Cogito Business Intelligence Developer (BID) is primarily responsible for supporting the design and build of Epic Reporting (Cogito). They are responsible for the overall build of the workflows, system configurations, change documentation, and support of operations for Cogito. They are self-starters and will work with Application resources and Manager.

The Application Analyst, BID is responsible for the installation, upgrades, and configuration of Cogito. They assist in the coordination of end-user support activities, create test scripts for Cogito, execute the test scripts, and document all test outcomes, including troubleshooting. These activities apply to implementation, upgrade, and maintenance initiatives. The Application Analyst, BID addresses basic user or build issues, recommends mitigation plans, and escalates more complex issues. They also provide on-call support for the application through go-live and beyond.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Minimum one (1) year relevant experience in large-scale project management.
  • Experience with analytical tools, visualization tools, scripting tools, and processes.
  • Applicant is expected to maintain certification as current by completing New Version Training (NVT), as applicable.
  • Minimum: Obtaining applicable Cogito certifications is an expectation of the role; 0-2 years preferred experience.
  • For certain clinical applications, clinical licensure is preferred and may be required as specified in Job Aid.
  • Preferred: Three (3) years relevant experience in large-scale project management, and one (1) year experience in Epic reporting is preferred.

Essential Functions:

  1. Executing Application Design and Build: Designing and building the related application, working with Operations to optimize the design of the application's capabilities and workflows, utilizing external resources for best practice builds and solutions, performing a thorough review of all Foundation Build and operational requested content and workflows for application, participating in unit, application, and integrated testing for implementation, upgrade, and enhancement system functionality, building data fields, screens, templates, and customer-defined functionality as required, reviewing the proposed training curriculum alongside members of their application team, following build standards and maintaining synchronization between environments in collaboration with the environment team.
  2. Application Support: Providing go-live support for customers on new applications, including functionality, providing on-call support for application through go-live and post go-live, representing application in Integrated Area Workgroups, supporting continuous documentation of system modifications and updates.
  3. Documentation and Communication: Maintaining continued ticket communication with customers ongoing and with closing incidents, catalog and enhancement tickets must include details in ticket resolution/closing, contacting the customer regarding ticket resolution if resolved or unable to fill request, logging decisions and issues/risks in tracker during build as well as Orion and Nova for upgrades and projects, supporting application governance needs, including development of business cases for decisions, maintaining version control of workflows, issues/risks log, and decision tracker, supervising basic issues and roadblocks, escalating issues as needed, communicating with higher-level analysts and supervisors to determine necessary escalations.
  4. Project Management: Recommending areas for process improvement, assisting with the development of future state materials, following the process for identification, tracking, resolution, and closure of all issues, following the change control process and any required changes, developing test scripts for new systems, complying with version upgrades and system modifications.
