North Technology Group was born in 1957 with the world's leading sailmaker North Sails. Today, NTG has grown into a diverse family of companies serving marine and manufacturing markets around the world. It is within the mast division where an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graphic Designer to join our leading digital and creative Group Marketing team.

Working across all NTG Mast brands (Southern Spars, Hall Spars, Future Fibres, RigPro, North Windships), the role will be located in our offices in Gosport and will be responsible for the design of all work that is required by the businesses as well as supporting with copywriting for press releases, social media, web content, etc.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working across all NTG Mast brands, ensuring each brand guidelines, tone of voice, brand personality and messaging are followed.
  • Create engaging and on-brand graphics and design for a variety of media - both online and offline.
  • Develop the design of print collateral, promotional items, etc.
  • Assist with the design of trade show spaces and all related aspects (communications, collateral, etc.).
  • Create one-off designs and templates for campaigns (email, social media, offline).
  • Assist with design elements to be used on landing pages and core pages of group websites, and support/suggest overall page design.
  • Work with the marketing team to further develop brand guidelines and ensure they are used to achieve maximum customer engagement and brand recall.
  • Support with ad-hoc design requests.
  • Assist with the creation of new content pieces, including PDFs, reports, and presentations.
  • Assist with small-scale video editing and the creation of graphic design elements to be used in video production.
  • In addition to graphic design, copywriting for press releases, social media, web content, newsletter, award entries, and other communication outlets for all brands of the North Mast Group.
  • Assist with creating commercial presentations, proposals and other documents.
  • Support across other marketing areas as required.

WHAT DO WE NEED

  • Proven experience in a design lead environment, ideally 2+ years.
  • Graphic design studies or similar.
  • Excellent skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop.
  • Able to lead visual campaigns from concept through to artwork.
  • Understanding of the different requirements for web and print design.
  • A passion for design and a creative flair.
  • Experience in editorial skills across a range of media, including social media.
  • Editorial experience in the yachting/marine industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage varied, multiple projects running alongside each other.
  • Excellent organisational skills: able to prioritise a large workload according to ever-changing business needs.
  • A collaborative approach with mixed responsibilities from supporting to leading projects.
  • Meticulous level of detail in all endeavours.
  • A self-starter, able to work autonomously and on their own initiative.
