We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Workshop Controller, to join our busy dealership in Southport. As a Workshop Controller, you will be someone who enjoys a challenge, working in a team environment carrying out practical and hands-on activities.
The role entails:
- Manage daily tasks, productivity and efficiency for a team of technicians.
- Prioritise Repair Orders in the workshop to ensure on time completion.
- Assist with Technical problem solving.
- Suggest additional work that is needed to the Service Adviser Team so the customer can be notified.
- Make certain that work repair orders are completed correctly for warranty procedures and ask for clarification if there are questions.
- Maintain OEM workshop tools and equipment; follow safety practices; notify management if tools need replacement or new tools required.
- Maintain adequate personal hand tools to enable all repairs to be carried out with minimum movement from vehicle.
- Maintain a full driver's licence.
- Maintain cleanliness of the working area and customer trucks.
- Assist in expediting of parts orders and notify service advisor if delays are expected or if a part needs to be ordered.
- Give special attention to repeat repairs, so the problem is correct this time and future comebacks are avoided.
- Compliance with the procedures and policies.
What we are looking for:
- Relevant vehicle trade qualifications.
- Previous workshop controller experience (preferred not essential).
- A current driver's licence.
- Air-Conditioning Licence (Preferred not Essential).
- ASCIS & AUVIS Licence (Preferred not Essential).
- Ability to follow work, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate care and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and have a positive can-do attitude.
- Can work well within large teams and follow processes and instructions.
